DK1 Travel has changed it’s name
When Dan and Kathi Smith founded their travel company, it was done with 2 things in mind.
1. Share their love for travel with a generation of people that work far too much, and play far too little.
2. As “hopeless” romantics, Dan and Kathi wanted use their love for travel to help new couples get a great start; by helping them to a dream honeymoon or destination wedding.
They know that the honeymoon will soon be over, and they will be back in the rat race; but a great honeymoon will give them something to look back on, and always remember when life gets hard.
Getting away from it all works magic.
One of Dan’s favorite stories revolves around a wedding he set up in Jamaica. The
bride watched her parents walking off into the sunset on the beach -
It was their first vacation that she could ever remember. They thought they were just going to see their daughter get married. They did that; and in the midst of that; found each other again.
“That is why I do this”, says Dan. “I just get a real kick out of seeing people get away from the office, and the bills, and remember why they fell in love in the first place.
